NEET 2025 All india Counseling: The result of NEET 2025 has been declared on June 14 and now lakhs of medical dreaming students of the country are waiting for when the counseling will start. But just knowing the date is not enough, the real battle begins now. Counseling is a game, and to win it, you need strategy, preparation and right guidance. If you take this time lightly now, then despite the result, you will not get a seat.
And that is why today we have brought for you a guide on NEET 2025 counseling, which is written with complete strategy and understanding, not just dates.
NEET 2025 All India Counseling Likely Dates
If we look at the timeline of 2023 and 2024, it is clear that the process of All India Counseling i.e. MCC starts within 25 to 30 days of the result. Yes, there was a slight delay in 2024 as re-NEET and court cases created a mess, but there are no such hurdles in sight in 2025 so far. So the expectation is that MCC counselling will start in the first or second week of July.
Year | Result Date | MCC Counselling Start | Reason for Delay |
---|---|---|---|
2023 | 13 June | 20 July | Normal Process |
2024 | 4 June | 14 August | Re-NEET and Court Case |
2025 | 14 June | Expected: 5 to 10 July | No hurdles yet |
MCC counselling may start in the first or second week of July, and state counsellings usually start 5-7 days after that.
Counselling doesn’t stop at MCC. There are three different levels
Many students think that they have to do only the All India quota, or just sit for the state counselling of their state. But the truth is that you have 3 chance, and you should understand all three.
Counselling Type | What is Covered | Who is Eligible |
---|---|---|
MCC (AIQ) | MBBS/BDS (15% government seats), AIIMS, JIPMER | Any NEET qualified student |
State Quota | 85% government + private medical/dental seats | Domicile of the same state is required |
AYUSH Counselling | BAMS, BHMS, BUMS (Govt. & Private AYUSH colleges) | NEET passed students |
The best approach is to prepare for all three, so that if you don’t get admission in one, the other option is ready.

This time between the result and counselling is the most crucial. This is the time when some children think that there is still time and some children lay the foundation of their entire future at that very moment. So here are some things you should definitely do during this time:
