In 2024, the result was declared on June 4, and counselling began on August 27 because of the delay due to RE-NEET. But in 2025, the process can be done on time.

NEET 2025 Karnataka Counselling: Who is Eligible?
To participate in Karnataka NEET counselling, the student must fulfil the following conditions:
The student must have qualified for NEET 2025. And should have a domicile certificate or proof of studies in Karnataka state.
For the general category, a minimum of 50% marks in the PCB group in the 12th is required.
For non-domiciled students, there is an option of Open Quota/Private Quota.

NEET 2025 Karnataka Counselling Process: Step-by-Step
The state counselling process of NEET 2025 in Karnataka begins with online registration on the official website of KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority). Candidates first have to register themselves with a valid mobile number and email ID.
They then have to pay a non-refundable registration fee of ₹500 to ₹1000 through online mode. This process is mandatory for all categories, irrespective of the quota the student is applying under.
After registration, candidates have to scan their required documents like 10th-12th mark sheets, Aadhaar card, passport size photo, and other identity proofs and upload them on the website. The documents are then verified by KEA either offline or online.
After the verification is complete, the state merit list of candidates is released based on the rank obtained in NEET. Being included in this list is necessary to participate in the further counselling process.
After the merit list is released, candidates have to fill in the preference of their preferred medical college and course (like MBBS or BDS). Based on this, seat allocation is done, taking rank and preference into account.
After getting the seat, the candidate has to report to the concerned college within the stipulated time limit. After appearing there, all the original documents have to be shown and the seat has to be confirmed by paying the fees.
