RE-NEET 2025 High Court’s big decision: Know which Students will get a Chance Again.

RE-NEET 2025RE-NEET 2025: On June 30, at around 8:30 pm, Indore High Court has given an important decision regarding NEET 2025, which may affect the future of hundreds of students.

This matter is related to those students who had filed a petition in the court in time against technical problems like power outage during the examination. The court has ordered to conduct the examination again for these students and now with this decision, the timeline of NEET counseling can also be extended.

High Court’s decision on RE-NEET 2025: Which students will get a chance to give NEET again?

In this decision pronounced on June 30, Indore High Court made it clear that only those students will be able to take the NEET exam again Who had filed a petition in the High Court till June 3, 2025.

In whose petition it was clear that there was a power outage at the examination center and UPS or other backup was not working at that time.

Cases where the report of the center supervisor also confirmed that there was loss of visibility or time during the exam.

Students who filed the petition after the results were released on June 14 or after viewing the OMR will not get the opportunity to take the exam again. because The court made it clear that doing so would not be fair to all the students.

NTA may decide the date of RE-NEET 2025 exam

The date of RE-NEET 2025 exam will be announced by NTA. In which only the affected students will get a chance to appear in the exam.

The total number of students is believed to be around 75, but the final figure will also be given by NTA.

The exam can be conducted as soon as possible, possibly between July 7 and 11. Then the results of all the students will be released again, as the marks of 75 students can affect the rank of everyone else.

What will be the effect of RE-NEET 2025 exam’s decision?

This decision will affect many things, the most important of which are:

1. NEET 2025 counselling will be delayed Since the result will be released again, MCC and all state bodies will have to update their counselling software and data.

Now the counselling schedule can be pushed forward to the end of July or the first week of August. Last time (in 2024) counselling started on August 14 and the same is expected this time as well.

2. Suppose some of the 75 students who appeared in RE-NEET have a score of 600+, then they may come in the top ranking. This may cause the rank of other students to drop from 1 to 75.

Though this change will be limited, the rankings for AIQ (All India Quota) and State Quota seats may still be affected.

3. Students who took the exam and are not appearing for RE-NEET will keep their NEET score the same. But the rank will change, because if there is any scoring change in the top-75, it will move the entire merit list up or down.

Can NTA go to the Supreme Court on RE-NEET 2025 decision?

NTA has the option to challenge the High Court’s decision in the Supreme Court.

If this happens, the REET exam date may be extended and the counselling schedule may also be affected. However, there is no such indication yet. If NTA accepts the High Court’s decision, for RE-NEET 2025 examexams may be conducted soon.

Conclusion: In NEET 2025, only those students who filed a petition in the High Court before June 3 and power or technical glitch was proved at their center will get a chance to appear in Re-NEET 2025 exam. NTA can conduct the Re-NEET 2025 exam in July, after which the ranking of all the students will change. Due to this, the date of NEET counseling can also be shifted to the first or second week of August.
