How is the CUET Score Calculated For DU/BHU/JNU model Universities

Component Maximum marks How the score is calculated

Total 1000 marks Sum of Language (250) + Domain (750)

In some universities, the score can go up to 750 if language paper is not included. In institutes like BHU, most courses are based on 600 or 750 marks.

Important tips for CUET scorers 300–500

1. Stay in counselling till the last round

Most students get disappointed if they do not get a seat in the first round and leave counselling. But remember
Every university also has a spot round after 3-4 rounds, in which the cutoff falls quite low.
This is the biggest opportunity for low scorers.

2. Fill the preference order wisely

Many times students fill the top colleges or courses at the top and do not get any seat due to low score.

Fill the seats of off-campus, south campus or regional universities at the top, so that they can get a seat on priority.
This is the most important part of your counselling success.

3. Wait for the normalisation score

The level of the paper of each shift in CUET can be different.

This is the reason why normalisation score is applied after the raw score, due to which sometimes students with a score of 400 also reach 500+. So do not decide your final stand until the result is out.

Important things to keep in mind in CUET Counselling

Every university has a different way of counselling, like DU has the CSAS portal, BHU has online counselling and JNU has a step-by-step registration process.

Keep in mind the Combination Eligibility. Sometimes, the subjects you have taken in CUET are not eligible for a particular course. So, do check the course and subject eligibility.

Keep the documentation ready in advance. To avoid any error in the documents at the time of counseling, keep Aadhaar, mark sheet, scorecard, category certificate, etc. ready in advance.

Conclusion: There is hope even if you score low make a strategy. No matter how much the score is in CUET UG, Those who have the right information, strategy and patience definitely get a college.

Just don’t think that if you don’t get a seat in the first round, nothing will happen. Many big college seats get vacant in the last round and spot round too.
